Astrological Advantage

The free chart, calculated the way a paid reading is calculated.

Ten planets. Twelve houses. Every major and minor aspect. A precise picture of the sky at the moment you were born, drawn from the same Swiss Ephemeris used for the readings that cost real money. No sun-sign horoscope. No daily sentence. A natal horoscope, the kind an astrologer hands a paying client, in your inbox in minutes.

Etched instrument plate: a brass-and-ink technical drawing of the calculation engine, showing the JPL DE441 ephemeris reference, Placidus house system with latitude correction, true node, and IANA timezone with DST resolved at the birth instant

Three minutes to fill. One email. The chart arrives in your inbox.

The instrument

This is the same engine.

The chart you receive is not a free-tier approximation. It is a natal horoscope: the same data structure an astrologer uses to give a $500 reading, drawn from the same Swiss Ephemeris, weighted the same way, with the same orbs, the same dignities, the same house system. The only thing left out of the free version is the conversation about it. The map is the map. The reading is the conversation about the map. Both start here.

Ephemeris

JPL DE441

The same planetary data set used in academic and professional work since 1997. Positions, speeds, and node computed to sub-arcsecond precision.

Houses

Placidus + lat

Placidus house cusps with latitude correction applied. Regiomontanus and Whole Sign available on request for the same chart.

Node & time

True node, IANA / DST

The true node, not the mean node. Birth-instant timezone resolved against the IANA database with historical DST rules for the date.

What you receive

Eight pages. Calculated once. Sent to your inbox.

A PDF. Yours to keep, print, frame, lose, or re-read at three in the morning when the questions are louder than the answers.

Sample natal wheel drawing in the chart engine's primary style

Drawn from the same engine the paid readings use, with the licensed glyph fonts the astrologer's own software ships with. Not a placeholder graphic.

  1. 01 / Planets & houses

Ten planets in the twelve houses

Sign, degree, minute, retrograde flag, and house position for every planet. Placidus cusps with latitude correction.

  2. 02 / True node

The true node, with its house

The node the engine actually computes. Not the mean node most free chart services use. The position is given with its house placement.

  3. 03 / Major aspects

All major aspects, orbs under one degree

Conjunction, opposition, trine, square, sextile. Orbs held to under one degree to keep the aspect field readable.

  4. 04 / Aspect grid

    Forty-five cells, colour-coded

The standard aspect grid: forty-five cells for the ten planets. Harmony in one mark, friction in another. No interpretation, just geometry.

  5. 05 / Dignities

Planetary table with rulership, exaltation, detriment, fall

The standard weights the paid readings use, not a simplified version. A table you can quote from if you want to argue with it later.

  6. 06 / Three tightest aspects

    A short written interpretation

The three tightest aspects in the chart, named and explained in plain language. Two paragraphs each, no adjective pileup.

  7. 07 / The wheel

The drawing itself, in four styles

A drawing of the wheel, in four styles you can switch between. Drawn from the same algorithm the paid readings use, with the licensed glyph fonts the astrologer's own software ships with.

  8. 08 / The cover & signoff

Title page with your name, date, time, and place

Subject line on the cover, the data under it, the wheel on the back. A document, not a marketing handout.

The process

Four steps. About three minutes.

  1. 1

    Submit your birth data

Date. Exact time, or close to it. City. The exact time matters; if you do not have it, mark that on the form and the engine adjusts.

  2. 2

    The engine calculates the chart

House cusps from Placidus. Planets from the Swiss Ephemeris. Aspects and dignities run against the same rule set used in the paid readings. Timezone is resolved against the IANA database with historical DST rules for the birth date.

  3. 3

The PDF is built and sent to your inbox

Usually under five minutes. Always under an hour. The build pipeline is event-driven; you get an email the moment the chart is on the way.

  4. 4

    You read it

You stare at it. You send the questions it raised to a real astrologer, if the free chart has raised more questions than it has answered.

The hand

The hand behind the engine

The calculations are run by software. The rules were written by an astrologer with three decades of practice, a working knowledge of Placidus and Regiomontanus, and a long-running argument with the house of the Moon. The readings you can pay for are written by the same person, in the same voice, against the same chart. Nothing is handed off to a junior. Nothing is templated.

The chart

Draw my chart

Three minutes. No account. No upsell before the chart.

Used on the chart's title line. "Subject: [your name], [date], [time], [city]."

Where the PDF goes. We do not add you to a list. We do not pass the address to a third party.

Day, month, year.

Hour and minute. As exact as you can give. The chart's precision lives in the time.

The city the birth certificate says. Timezone is inferred from the city and the date.

Auto-filled from the city. Editable.

By submitting, you agree to receive the chart PDF by email. Your birth data is stored encrypted at rest and never sold. You can ask for it to be deleted at any time, and we will delete it within seven days.

The instrument, in facts

What the chart is and is not

Concrete claims, not adjectives.

The ephemeris is the Swiss Ephemeris, JPL DE441. The same data set used in academic and professional work since 1997.
Houses are Placidus, with latitude correction. Regiomontanus and Whole Sign are available on request.
The node is the true node, not the mean node. Most free chart services use the mean node. We do not.
Timezones are resolved against the IANA database with historical DST rules per the birth date. A birth in Mexico City in 1971 gets the 1971 rules, not the present ones. A birth in the USSR in 1985 uses Soviet time. A birth in the UK during the 1971 experiment uses British Summer Time.
Birth data is stored encrypted at rest. The PDF is the only output. The raw data is deleted on request within seven days.
The chart is not a sun-sign horoscope. The chart is not a horoscope at all. It is a map of the sky at one moment, with the elements labelled.
No tracking pixel. No advertising integration. No third-party data sale. No account required to receive the chart.
The wheel is drawn from the same algorithm the paid readings use. The glyphs are licensed, not invented. The aspect orbs match the orbs the paid readings use.

If a fact on this list turns out not to be true, write to the address in the footer and we will fix the chart and the page.

Same engine, same orbs, same node, same historical timezones

The handoff

When you want the conversation

The free chart is the map. The paid reading is the conversation about the map. After you have read the chart, if the questions it raised are sharper than the answers it gave, the next step is a 60-minute VIVO reading with the astrologer who wrote the rules. The chart you just received is the agenda for that conversation. You will not start from zero.

$7USD

The Written Master Key Plan

A four-page written analysis of the chart. The three tightest aspects, the ruling planet, the activation sequence, and the three questions the chart is asking. Delivered in 24 hours by email.

$49USD

The VIVO Reading

A 60-minute video call. The chart in hand. Your questions answered. The agenda built from your chart, not from a script. Includes the Written Master Key Plan as a takeaway.

Book the VIVO Reading

The free chart is the entry point. The Master Key Plan is the short conversation. The VIVO Reading is the long one. The wheel is the same wheel on all three.

Common questions

Common questions

I do not know my exact birth time. Can I still get a chart?

Yes. Submit the time you have, even if it is "around 3 a.m." We calculate against the noon default for missing times, with an uncertainty flag carried into the interpretation. If you do not have a time at all, check the box on the form and the chart will be drawn for noon with the appropriate caveat.

Will you sell my birth data?

No. The birth data is stored encrypted, used only to calculate your chart, and deleted on request within seven days. There is no advertising integration, no tracking pixel, no third-party data sale.

Is this the same as a free astrology app?

No. Free astrology apps give you your sun sign and a daily sentence. This is a natal horoscope, the same data structure used in professional readings, with the same engine. The difference is precision, not presentation.

How fast is the chart delivered?

Most charts are built and sent in under five minutes. If the system is under load it can take up to an hour. You will get an email when the chart is on the way.

What if I was born in a country that changed timezones or DST rules?

The engine uses the IANA timezone database with historical rules per the birth date. A birth in Mexico City in 1971 uses the 1971 DST rules, not the present ones. A birth in the USSR in 1985 uses Soviet time. A birth in the UK during the 1971 experiment uses British Summer Time. This is one of the things free chart services get wrong, and one of the reasons this one is not free-tier.

Can I get the chart in another language?

English for now. Spanish coming. The wheel glyphs are language-independent.

What if my chart has difficult aspects?

You get the chart. The reading does not soften a hard aspect because the client might not like it. Difficult aspects are information. The interpretation explains what they do, not what they should feel like.

Do I need an account?

No. The form does not ask for a password. The PDF is delivered to the email you submit. If you want a copy of your birth data on file for future readings, opt in on the form.

Why is the paid reading only $49 when other astrologers charge $500?

Because the chart engine does the calculation work. The $49 is for the conversation about a chart the engine has already drawn. The $500 readings at other shops are paying for the calculation by hand. Here, the calculation is free; the conversation is what you are buying.
